rebirth, decision, a new calling
Judgement Tarot Card Meaning
What Judgement means upright and reversed, with readings for love, money and career.
The picture and its symbols
Judgement shows people rising from their graves at the sound of an angel's trumpet. It is number 20 of the Major Arcana, the part of the Fool's journey about moving past the old toward a larger completion. The trumpet is a call. The card tends to appear when it is time to settle the past and give the answer you have been postponing.
Upright meaning
rebirth, decision, a new calling. It is time to settle the past and be renewed. Make the decision you have been putting off.
- Love
- You meet a former partner again or redefine the relationship.
- Money
- Past investments or efforts come back as results.
- Career
- A second attempt, a return to work or a new calling.
- Yes or no
- Yes
- Advice
- A Major Arcana card points to a larger current that effort alone does not control. Put your energy into aligning with it rather than resisting.
Reversed meaning
regret, self-doubt, avoiding a decision. You are bound to the past and putting off a decision.
- Love
- Regret over a past relationship is clouding the present.
- Money
- A past failure may cause you to miss an opportunity.
- Career
- An evaluation may fall short of what you hoped.
- Yes or no
- No
- Advice
- A reversed Major Arcana card signals that you are pushing against a larger current. Before forcing things, ask what you need to let go of.
Timing
Because this is a Major Arcana card, do not hurry the timing: wait for things to ripen. Readers usually think in terms of a season.
