How this calculator works
A money reading interprets each card from the point of view of finances. Pentacles is the suit most closely tied to money: the Ace of Pentacles is a new income source, and the Nine and Ten stand for independence and lasting abundance. The Five of Pentacles warns of hardship and the Devil of debt and overspending. A card can never be a basis for an investment decision, so use it to review your spending habits and how you manage risk.
Formula
- The deck has 78 cards: 22 Major Arcana and 56 Minor Arcana in four suits (Wands, Cups, Swords, Pentacles).
- Cards are shuffled and drawn without repeats. With reversals on, each card has a 50% chance of appearing reversed.
- A three-card spread is read as 1 the present, 2 advice, 3 where things are heading.
What the 22 Major Arcana mean for money (upright)

| The High Priestess | intuition, secrets, inner wisdom | There may be information you cannot see yet. Check the facts again before a big decision. |

| Justice | fairness, balance, accountability | A good time to settle contracts, taxes and legal matters. You receive what you are due. |
| The Hanged Man | waiting, sacrifice, a new perspective | Watching is better than acting right now. |
| Death | endings and beginnings, change, clearing out | A good time to clear out old spending habits or investments and start again. |

Things to keep in mind
- For entertainment and self-reflection only. Do not use a reading to make health, legal or financial decisions.
- Cards are drawn with the computer's random number generator, and each of the 78 cards has the same chance of appearing.
Frequently asked questions
Which tarot cards are good for money?
The Ace, Nine, Ten and King of Pentacles, and the Sun: a new income source, independence, long-term wealth and financial success.
Should I invest based on a tarot reading?
No. Tarot is for entertainment and reflection and cannot justify an investment. Make real decisions from product information and an understanding of the risks.
What if I draw a bad card for money?
Treat it as a prompt. The Devil, for instance, warns against impulse spending and debt, so it is a good moment to check this month's outgoings.
